Landscapes have always been a favorite of mine, ever since I was able to use a camera. It stemmed from trying to capture that feeling on a holiday where you are having the best time ever and wanting to take that home with you. It has since evolved into a very emotive passtime where I can be as flippant as spotting a beautiful scene that I would covet hanging on my wall at home to a very carefully timed, planned and executed shot where the scene has been chosen, but the conditions need to be diferent. This type of image capture is not an instant gratification tool, often a shot doesn't hit the mark (the weather didn't play ball, too many people, not enough people, many different factors) and has to be replanned and retaken. Occasionally, however, the moment really does get caught and there is an overwhelming sense of gratitude, and pride, that everything has come together at just the right moment.

I am constantly adding landscape imagery to my collection and every trip anywhere could add the next scene.
